I am a big fan of wrestling games, have been since the arcade game Exciting Hour (I believe thats the title, it was a long time ago).
I passed this one over for awhile thinking it only a piece of fluff with no substance.
Finally I broke down and bought it the other day, and I must say it truly is a great game breaking all of my expectations.
Solid gameplay …the chicks are nice too O.o

What irritates me the most about all those low scoring reviews for this game is that they pull the score down for graphics so the game scores a six (or something lower). That’s just unfair. Anyway, good review and I really want to play a demo to :p

DOA4 is a fighting game. Rumble Roses XX is a wrestling game. Two different niches filled here. It is like comparing apples and oranges.

You may want to read our Scoring Table. It received an 8 because it deserves an 8.

Good: You’re going to like this if you’re in the market for a product or game of this type. It’s not perfect, absolutely not, but you’ll most certainly be pleased by this purchase.

I think it’s a good review.

However, you should remember that there are other games on xbox. Last week, I played DOA4 at a friend, while the graphics are not that much different from DOA ultimate, I think that game is very rewarding and complex.

So I guess that you’d give DOA4 a 9, so this wrestling game should not be 8, but more like 7.

I hope you understand.

I’d rather buy DOA4 than this, because i think you get more fun from DOA4.

I don’t think simple scantily-cladness is worth the M but from what I’ve heard, there is partial nudity. My philosophy, “If it doesn’t show anything, slap it with “Suggestive Themes”, if it does, slap it with a Mature rating.” (DOA3 notwithstanding :))

I totally agree with you. I’m not into wrestling also (but give me a next gen Def Jam) but i will try the game when a demo is up.

After all the negative previews going around, I was most certainly surprised at your verdict and ranking, but you also most certainly back up the score sufficiently.

I’ll now actually be picking up a demo for this should it become available even though I’m personally not into wrestling
