New Reservoir Dogs screenshots
Stop reading if you don’t want to have your day ruined. CVG has two new screenshots of the Reservoir Dogs game. How the f*** can you do a game about a movie that is (almost) solely situated in a warehouse?! Eidos figured you just make up an extra story line. Warning; there are screenshots after the jump but you don’t want to see them, trust me.
The game adaptation of ‘Dogs takes the shape of third-person shooter, following the film’s plot meticulously while filling in any plot holes along the way. According to Eidos’ brand lady Helen Lawson, the Reservoir Dogs game will “appeal to both movie and gaming fans, and offers an unprecedented opportunity to play through the events of the movie and fill in the gaps.
No news yet on whether you’ll be able to chop unfortunate NPC’s ears off, but we are promised the full inclusion of the film’s excellent soundtrack and the chance to play as all your favourite gangsters.
The game is currently being developed for Xbox, PS2 and PC and is set for this autumn. When will people realise that not everything that’s popular needs a game made from it (copyright ONI 23)? I guess ruining Fight Club wasn’t enough.

Wow those screenies are soooo beautiful!!!
ET is actually famous for making Atari go nearly bankrupt in 1983
Maybe they can bury a couple million copies of this game too.
Why was there never an I, Robot game adaption?
Maybe there was, but it became self-aware, realised how terrible it was, and destroyed itself
HAHAHAHAHA…. and it’s about 13 years too late!
*ruined*
They just can’t make a game out of this movie, it’s just gonna mess things up
I saw Reservoir Dogs before all the Pulp Fiction/ Tarantino hype. Anyway
I do not see what is so terrible about the screenshots.
No! I warn you!!! do not click the following hyperlink!!

There you go.
Lesson learned: do not judge a game by it’s screenshots.
they are very small and compressed btw.
I read this also on other sites, that you don’t like it. How about being more ..”open” or sompething and write something like this:
“Usually movie based games are bad, for example oblivion..just kidding
, fight club or charlies angels.
However, excellent movie based games DO excist,
Goldeneye (N64)..
Rogue Squadron II (GC)..anyone?
Resevoir Dogs can go anywhere. Intead of a modern day waterworld game (virtual boy), it could end up as a max payne like experience, co-directed by tarantino himself, and all the voice actors return for this new ‘episode’.
In that case, i could not be happier.
PS i saw Reservoir Dogs before the hype

But its also okay to do like everybody else does
Ehm I can’t stand Oblivion so that won’t convince me ;). I’m a big QT fan and I really liked Fight Club but those movies shouldnt be ruined by making them into a video-game. There isnt that much action, the best thing about Reservoir Dogs is really the dialogues and I can’t see them making a great game based on that. And I don’t see Quentin Tarantino working on this game, he hates video games as he said in many interviews.
I never said all movies games suck though but certain movies really don’t lend themselves to be made into a game and RD is a good example of that.
Well, i never thought that the silent hill game would be any good. But it seems that the movie was so great that they did 4 games on it!
The article didn’t give much info on the game, so i thought you were just guessing and quoting. But is was proven wrong.

I heard that the movie was pretty good. I am stull guessing but think about it ; QT movies and especially Reservoir Dogs are mostly based on great dialogues (the I’m not tipping part at the beginning?). The action is nothing special, just your average mexican showdowns. It’s all in the dialogues, the awesome characters (Steve Buscemi as Mr. Pink, so awesome) and the great storylines (well not in RD since that one has no big storyline, just a robbery gone bad). It just doesnt lend itself for a game, just as Fight Club doesnt. Kill Bill could be a potentially good game though.
LOL
The movie was nice btw, saw it on tuesday.
You are right i think. It would be difficult to make a good game with the characters, even more when Tarantino is not involved.
maybe if they could make a shen mue mr. pink edition? In it you live mr. pink, after the events of the movie.
That’d be cool. And if it’s only Buscemi then he could do the voice.
But i will agree that this is very unlikely,
it s probably a higher chance to end up like fight club
my sarcasm sense is tingling.
At least I hope you were being sarcastic.
wrong comment.
I meant to reply to this one.
