They’re dominating the online, and in my opinion, taking to it way too far.

Fortunately, Sony won’t go under. The worst that COULD happen is they lose the majority of the market to the 360 and settle for second. People will still buy the over priced PS3. It will still have great games to play on it, and Microsoft will still continue to introduce new and exciting tools for us gamers. Unfortunately, Sony won’t introduce new stuff beside accessories (like the Eye Toy) because all the ingenious European and Asian developers are working for Nintendo and the rest of the ingenious developers are at Microsoft. But those die hard Microsoft fans who can’t look past the company and just enjoy the games no matter what system they are on will continue to dream of the world domination of Bill Gates and his crew. The rest of us will enjoy our 360, PS3 and Wii and all the unique titles each machine has to offer.

It was a great speech, one of the best I’ve ever seen, particularly considering there was no new hardware to shout about. Nintendo’s was… quirky, interesting, ingenious, but the console’s not really my sort of thing. Sony’s just bored the arse off me.

Holy crap, some of that is monumentally awesome! Cross platform Live support for PC and 360 will make Microsoft SOOOO much money!

that cross-platform stuff seems like overkill, i dont even use xbox.com features, and im probably never getting windows vista. i wonder if these features will even get enough use to justify implementing them in the first place.
